We can save on energy from batteries! Energy gives power to a lot of things we use everyday such as our toys, lights, and even the car that you drive. A battery is defined as an energy storage unit, but this can mean all sorts of things from tiny backup batteries for your TV remote to gigantic power banks the size of 18 wheelers. You know, the small ones — like maybe batteries for your toys or remote-control so you can change the channel on your TV. Larger batteries, on the other hand, can be several times that size and used in automobiles or homes to hold reserves for powering a heating unit of air conditioner.
Batteries have one great thing going for them — recyclability. That means you can reuse them over and over instead of leaving the trash. This will help in reducing waste. It is also essential to recycle batteries after using them. Harmful materials need to be kept out of landfills that would or do damage our planet and recycling is the answer for doing so.
